Turning Ideas into Reality

— One Insight at a Time

Navigating rapid prototyping and custom manufacturing shouldn’t be a guessing game. Our hub offers practical tools, expert playbooks, and real-world case studies.

Ensuring Quality in Rapid Manufacturing
In rapid manufacturing, there is no room for error. Quality is essential to every project, and at American Tooling & Machining, we make it our top priority. From prototype to production, we implement rigorous quality control processes to ensure every part meets your specifications and is delivered on time.

Explore how we address two of the most critical quality challenges in manufacturing.

Material Verification
How can you be sure the specified material is exactly what is used in your parts? It starts with trusted raw material suppliers, but we go further. Our team uses advanced testing technology to independently verify material authenticity before production begins.

Dimensional Accuracy
When tight tolerances matter, precision is everything. We use high-precision inspection tools and equipment to measure and confirm that every part matches the exact dimensions in your drawing.

Our Quality-Driven Process

01.

Drawing Submission

We begin by reviewing your 3D files in formats such as STP, STEP, IGS, or IGES along with your project requirements including quantity, material, surface finish, and delivery timeline.

02.

Design Review and DFM

Our engineering team conducts a thorough design for manufacturability review to identify any risks or opportunities for optimization, helping ensure smoother production and reduced costs.

03.

Engineering and Process Planning

Using your specifications, we program and simulate the manufacturing process to optimize performance and minimize the risk of errors.

04.

In-Process Inspections

During production, we closely monitor every step and make real-time adjustments as needed. Your first sample, or T1, is produced with complete oversight.

05.

Post-Processing Dimension Checks

After surface finishing is completed, we perform detailed dimensional inspections to ensure the part meets all tolerances and customer requirements.

06.

Final Evaluation

We analyze the T1 sample for functional performance and validate whether any mold refinements are needed before moving into volume production.

Once approved, your parts are securely packaged and shipped with full documentation to ensure smooth handling and delivery.
